Program

The Global Summit will facilitate knowledge exchange as we bring together leading international researchers and practitioners in the field of childhood physical activity. The three-day conference will provide a change-making forum to share evidence and best practices from across Canada and around the world to foster coordinated action and initiatives to address the global childhood physical inactivity crisis.

Highlights of the Global Summit will include the release of the AHKC 10th Anniversary Report Card and International Report Cards, surveillance and plenary sessions, international best practice workshops, research symposia and poster presentations. Program sessions will drill deeper into the relationship and intersection of childhood behaviours that comprise physical activity (Sport & Recreation, Active Play, Active Transportation, Sedentary Behaviour) and the critical influences on childhood physical activity (School, Home, Community, Policy). Not to be missed will be the high profile keynote speakers, and a culminating Call to Action.

Check back soon for updates on speakers and symposia topics.
